Our approach to food safety covers the entire supply chain, starting with fishermen and suppliers. We follow rigorous procurement and auditing processes to ensure we select safe, high quality raw materials. This includes improving fishermen’s skills and knowledges of how to maintain the quality of raw materials before reaching the processing plant.
We also conduct a laboratory test everyday on every single fish, using BIOLAN® technology to ensure the raw material is meeting our safety standards. These raw materials are then sorted into different grades according to the appearance, odour, temperature, texture, and weight.
TRACETALES® is the traceability system we use at Harta Samudra to track each fish back to the individual fisherman and point of landing.
